Brodart’s exclusive Opening the Book Propeller Shelving Receives Gold in Inaugural Modern Library Awards from Library Resources Group

Williamsport, PA. February 3rd 2015 – Brodart Co., a leading provider of Books, Supplies, and Furniture for libraries and educational institutions, is pleased to announce it has received a gold award from the Library Resource Group’s inaugural Modern Library Awards (MLA’s).  The MLA’s were created to recognize the top products in the library industry in a truly unbiased format.  Submitted products were batched into small groups and sent to the LRG database of more than 80,000 librarians at public, K-12, academic, and special libraries.  Only customers with experience with these products in their facilities were permitted to judge the products, resulting in a truly unbiased score.

Brodart’s exclusive Opening the Book furniture designs are uniquely crafted with a deep understanding of how people use libraries.  The Propeller Shelving is not just a physical product; it is also the product of a philosophy that encourages patrons to explore a library’s entire layout.  Contemporary libraries understand the importance of social spaces, and our organic designs take a coherent approach to creating a space that is relevant to the modern library by enticing the community to explore beyond the familiar.
