January 2005 Brodart Co.(www.brodart.com), the premier provider of circulation-ready books to libraries has been selected by the Montgomery County Library System, Conroe, Texas, to develop the opening day collection for the George & Cynthia Wood Mitchell Branch Memorial Library.
The new branch will be located in the community of Woodlands, TX. This Brodart project will provide approximately 40,000 items including books (English & Spanish), and all AV formats. Custom cataloging & processing and collection development-generated selection lists will be featured along with AV and Spanish materials. The Brodart project management team will arrive in January to work with Jerilynn Williams, Director of MCMLS and her staff, reviewing collection development and cataloging procedures and ensuring all titles meet their specifications for the new library. This project delivers June 1, 2005 for a mid-to-late June opening.
